Mayor Bird presented the 7th Mon orange belts to several successful judoka, marking a major achievement for these dedicated young athletes. Among the recipients were brothers Ben and Dan, who, in addition to their orange belts, were presented with Jack Petchey Awards in recognition of their exceptional commitment, hard work, and positive contributions.

Metro Judo Club has long championed inclusion and opportunity in the local community, particularly for autistic children and young adults. Events like these, attended by civic leaders, spotlight the vital role of grassroots sport in fostering confidence and friendship for Greenwich’s youth, and help build supportive connections between the club and borough leadership.
